What's a Private Nagasaki Peace and History Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

Because immigration was delayed, we started 30 minutes later than planned, but I was glad we were able to take the guests to all the places originally scheduled. At the Atomic Bomb Museum, it was memorable to see how attentively one of the guests explored the exhibits. For that reason, we spent about 70 minutes at the Atomic Bomb Museum. At the Shiroyama Elementary School Peace Memorial Hall, the guests looked intently at each and every exhibit. They seemed very shocked to learn that 1,400 of the 1,500 students had died, but they also felt the children's pure wishes for peace. After lunch in Chinatown, the guests said they wanted to see the one-legged torii gate at Sanno Shrine, so I told them we would just take photos there. At the Nabekanmuriyama Observation Deck, the guests enjoyed the scenery of Nagasaki.
