What's a Private Cruise Ship Excursion in Nagasaki Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

I met the guests without any trouble at the Matsugae International Cruise Terminal a little after 10:00, and we departed by private vehicle. First, we went to the scenic Nabekanmuriyama, where the guests enjoyed a panoramic view of the city of Nagasaki.

Next, we visited Glover Garden (entering from the upper Gate 2, which is close to Nabekanmuriyama). The guests took their time looking around, and since some of the group moved about freely and independently, it took a while to confirm everyone's whereabouts before heading to the next location, so we spent quite some time here.

We then went to Oura Church, located a short distance from the exit of Glover Garden. Before entering, I explained the episode of the "Discovery of the Hidden Christians" from a spot where the building was visible, and the guests viewed only the interior of the church on the first floor.

After that, we went to a restaurant within a hotel located within walking distance. A lunch buffet had been planned, but due to dietary restrictions the guests were unable to eat most of the items, and some of the guests wished to have sushi, so after consulting with the driver, we decided on short notice to go to a chain sushi restaurant. It was a place called Wakatakemaru, which has several branches in the city of Nagasaki, and it was surprisingly delicious, so the guests were very satisfied.

After lunch, we visited the Atomic Bomb Museum, and after touring it, we walked around the hypocenter and Peace Park. After finishing the atomic bomb-related facilities, we went to Dejima, where I guided them through the miniature Dejima, the archaeological museum, and the Kapitan's Quarters.

Next, the guests wanted to visit a castella shop and a souvenir shop, so I took them to the Bunmeido main store near Dejima, and finally to the Omagari Cat Teahouse near the Matsugae International Cruise Terminal. The private vehicle service ended at the timing of our arrival here.

After finishing shopping at the Omagari Cat Teahouse, I guided them on foot (less than 10 minutes) to the Matsugae International Cruise Terminal, where the tour ended. Although we ran a little behind schedule, the tour was extended by an hour and a half, so we were able to visit all the places originally planned, and since the guests also enjoyed a delicious lunch, I believe they were satisfied.
