What Is a Private Himeji Castle Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

Today's guests were a family group visiting Japan from North America. After meeting at Himeji Station, the [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) private tour covered the Castle View point, Himeji Castle (the Nishinomaru Hyakken Corridor and the Main Keep), Kokoen Garden, and concluded at the rooftop of Egret Himeji. The weather was cloudy and a little humid, but there was no rain, and the guests enjoyed the sightseeing in good spirits throughout. At the Nishinomaru Hyakken Corridor, they were very interested to learn detailed aspects of castle construction, including the relationships among historical figures such as Princess Sen, Toyotomi Hideyori, Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu, the method of joining timber without using nails, and the techniques for stacking the stone walls. The tour ended while viewing Himeji Castle from the rooftop of Egret Himeji, and the guests were all very pleased.
