What's a Private Tokyo Walking Tour of Yanaka, Ueno, and Asakusa Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from North America who wanted to learn about Japanese culture, so they requested Yanaka, Ueno, and Asakusa. At Yanaka Cemetery, they were amazed to see the many large gravestones. Along Yanaka Ginza, they bought souvenirs such as accessories and enjoyed matcha lattes as they strolled. After that, we visited Toshogu Shrine and Kiyomizu Kannon-do in Ueno before heading to Asakusa, where they were overwhelmed by the huge crowds. We walked through Nakamise, Sensoji Temple, and Asakusa Shrine, and since it was exactly 1:00 p.m., we said goodbye in front of a ramen shop. The guests were very genuine and it was a lovely group to guide.
