What's a Private Half-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting from Europe. They were very calm and pleasant, and since we started early in the morning, we progressed faster than planned, which allowed us time to shop for souvenirs along the approach to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. We took a bus to Sanjusangen-do Temple, and even after viewing it at a relatively relaxed pace, we still had an hour to spare at that point, so I invited the guests to visit Higashi Hongan-ji Temple, which was not originally on the itinerary. We spent about 30 minutes there, and since the guests wished to catch the 12:02 bullet train, we headed to Kyoto Station a little early. I saw them off at Kyoto Station, and the tour ended at 11:50.
