Tour Itinerary
- 9:00 Meet at Tempozan Ferry Terminal
- 10:10 Depart from Hankyu Umeda Station to Arashiyama
- 11:00 Arashiyama (Tenryu-ji Temple / Bamboo Grove) (Bamboo Grove → Kinkaku-ji Temple by taxi)
- 13:00 Kinkaku-ji Temple (Kinkaku-ji Temple → Demachiyanagi Station by taxi)
- 14:00 Lunch near Fushimi Inari
- 14:30 Fushimi Inari
- 15:40 Depart from Keihan Fushimi Inari Station to Osaka
- 17:00 End at Tempozan Ferry Terminal
What's a Private Kyoto Day Trip Like from an Osaka Port Cruise Stop? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from North America. They joined a Kyoto tour using a day when their cruise ship made an overnight stop at Osaka Port. As the cruise had started in Tokyo and this was their first port of call, this was their first visit to shrines and temples, so I explained many things to them. Since they were looking for famous, photogenic spots, I guided them to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Kinkaku-ji, and Fushimi Inari. As these locations were spread apart along the route, I recommended using taxis, which allowed us to get around efficiently. Since they planned to have dinner on the cruise ship, I made sure we returned to Osaka Port in the evening.

Kuni-san was an excellent guide and very friendly and knowledgable. Kuni-san greatly assisted with meeting one of our family member medical needs on the day and was very helpful in supporting us and changing the itinerary and assisting our family member.
I would HIGHLY recommend Kuni-san as a guide and this tour defintely met our needs as a group of 4.

Kuni was amazing as our private tour guide! Before the tour, he reached out to ask about the specific itinerary we wanted to do. He took into consideration all of our thoughts. The tour was amazing. He was very informative and it was very special to see all of the sites. Would recommend highly!
