- 9:20-10:10 Visit Fushimi Inari Taisha
- 10:10-10:30 Transfer (chartered car; Fushimi Inari Taisha → Kiyomizu-dera/Chawanzaka)
- 10:30-11:50 Visit Kiyomizu-dera (including Sannenzaka, Ninenzaka, Yasaka Pagoda, Koshindo)
- 11:50-12:10 Transfer (chartered car; parking near Kodai-ji → restaurant/All Day Dining, near Kiyomizu-Gojo Station)
- 12:10-12:50 Lunch (@All Day Dining)
- 12:50-13:20 Transfer (chartered car; restaurant → Kinkaku-ji)
- 13:20-14:05 Visit Kinkaku-ji
- 14:05-14:35 Transfer (chartered car; Kinkaku-ji → Kitchen Knife shop/Kanaya, near Nishiki Market) *Released the car at the Kitchen Knife shop
- 14:35-14:55 Shopping (Kitchen Knife shopping)
- 14:55-15:00 Transfer (on foot; Kitchen Knife shop/Kanaya → Nishiki Market)
- 15:00 Tour ended after arriving at Nishiki Market. Said goodbye to the guests at the Nishiki Market entrance.

The guests were visitors from North America. It was their first time in Japan and in Kyoto. I took them to Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera (including the Yasaka Pagoda and Koshin-do), Kinkaku-ji, and a kitchen knife shop (Kanaya) that the guests had requested, and afterwards we parted ways at Nishiki Market. Kiyomizu-dera in particular was overflowing with school trip students. Kinkaku-ji, contrary to expectations, was surprisingly uncrowded, and the guests commented that Kinkaku-ji was their favorite. The kitchen knife shop, which was the last stop on today's tour, was one the driver kindly introduced, so I took them there. The guests purchased a kitchen knife they liked and seemed very satisfied.

Our Kyoto guided tour (Aioi Michiharu) was a great way to see some of the city’s most famous sights. The itinerary was well organized, starting with a convenient hotel pickup before visiting Fushimi Inari Taisha. Walking through the thousands of red torii gates was a memorable experience, and our guide shared interesting background about the shrine that added helpful context.
We then explored the Kiyomizu area, including Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Yasaka Pagoda, and Yasaka Koshindo Temple. The route offered a nice mix of historic landmarks, traditional streets, and scenic viewpoints. There was enough time at each stop to take photos and enjoy the surroundings without feeling rushed.
What really made this tour special was our guide’s knowledge, friendliness, and enthusiasm. He provided interesting cultural insights, recommended local foods and hidden photo spots, and made sure everyone in the group was comfortable throughout the day.

Michi our guide was excellent! Great communication before the tour and laid out an entire day for us. Was very accommodating and understood when the heat got to us and needed to take a break. He was very knowledgeable and gave us great pieces of information about the beautiful city of Kyoto. Would highly recommend the tour and Michi!!

Michi was an excellent tour guide! He was very knowledgeable about the history of all the sites we visited, was able to answer all of core questions, and knew where to find cold water when we were all thirsty! We really enjoyed our whole 4 hour tour.
