What's a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari, Kinkaku-ji, and Arashiyama

The guests were a group visiting from North America. They were cheerful and punctual, so the tour proceeded exactly as scheduled. At Fushimi Inari Taisha, they enjoyed visiting the Omokaru-ishi stones and the Nenoage-no-Matsu pine, and were delighted to take many photos. At Kinkaku-ji, they took photos and listened to the explanations, which were interpreted into Spanish. For lunch, we went to a Kura Sushi near Kinkaku-ji, which they enjoyed very much, finishing in about 40 minutes. At Otagi Nenbutsu-ji, they were very moved by the many stone Buddha statues and chose their favorite ones. In the bamboo grove they also took many photos, and at Tenryu-ji the hydrangeas were in bloom, so I gave explanations while we looked at the pond. On the drive back, we played a Japanese game to bring the tour to a close.
