What Is a Private Hakone Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Owakudani and Lake Ashi
The guests were visitors from North America. They were intellectually curious and asked many questions about history, plants and animals, geography, and a wide range of other topics. While walking around Owakudani, the weather suddenly turned bad. The ropeway stopped operating, so we had to descend to Togendai by bus. As a result, the flow of tourists became concentrated, causing lost time waiting for the bus near the end of the tour, and we ended up going past the scheduled finishing time. Even so, I felt there were several moments that impressed the guests, such as the azalea garden at the mountain hotel and lunch at a local restaurant.

Nous sommes particulièrement ravis de cette journée d’excursion autour d’Hakone et du Mont-Fuji avec notre guide Ryosuke. We really enjoyed this tour. Leo, our guide, was very knowledgeable regarding the culture and history of each site we visited. And for lunch he found a delicious authentic Ramen counter restaurant. It was a really nice day with great memories.
