What's a One-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, the Imperial Palace East Gardens, and Meiji Shrine
The guests were visitors from North America. Both were visiting Japan for the first time. They had arrived in Japan the day before and planned to stay for about two weeks, visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and other places.
I guided them around Asakusa, the Imperial Palace East Gardens, and Meiji Shrine. They enjoyed taking photos at each location. They listened attentively to my explanations and asked many questions about Japanese culture and history. Although it was a public holiday, thanks to the early hour Asakusa was not very crowded, and we were blessed with good weather, allowing us to get around comfortably. Their first language was Spanish, so the guests spoke Spanish among themselves. After the tour, they had a reservation at a restaurant in Yoyogi, so I explained how to get to the restaurant from JR Harajuku Station and concluded the tour.

Haru (Haruhiko Yokota) was a consummate professional from the first comment he made contact with us. He asked for our visit priorities and designed an interesting and engaging tour over the several hours we spent together. This tour was beyond expectations! Haru, my tour guide, was knowledgeable, kind and friendly. I feel like I learned so much from him throughout the day! I loved that I was able to choose from so many different sightseeing options. I simply gave Haru my list of preferred places and he did the rest! His patience with me as I took 4638 pictures was abundant! I would highly recommend this tour and I will certainly hope you have Haru as your guide!
