Title: What's a Private Walking Tour of Shibuya and Shinjuku Like in Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting Tokyo. We set off after they purchased a PASMO card at Shimbashi Station. Since they planned to visit historic spots in the eastern part of Tokyo on a later day, they requested a focus on the modern areas on the western side for this day, so we mainly walked around the Shibuya and Shinjuku areas. In Shibuya, the group showed interest in the observation room in the "MAGNET" building on the corner of the Scramble Crossing, so I took them there as well. By the time we returned to Shiodome, we still had a little time to spare, so before parting ways I took the group to the observation room at Caretta Shiodome. At the north observation deck of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, it was still cloudy just after the morning rain had stopped, but by around 3:00 p.m. the weather had cleared up, so I believe the guests were able to enjoy the best view at the very end.

Hi. My name is Masafumi Miyazaki. Please call me “Sam”. I am a government-licensed guide.
I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.
I like reading, listening to the music, and walking. I belong to several walking clubs, and sometimes I guide the members around Tokyo.
One of my strengths as a guide is that I know well about kombu, Japanese kelps. In December every year, I work at a traditional kombu shop in Tsukiji Fish Market. At that shop, I learned a lot of things related to kombu or other ingredients for washoku. I can explain the different characteristics of them to you.
Also, I am familiar with Japanese flowers and plants. If you stroll around a Japanese garden with me, I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful flowers and unique plants in every season.
I look forward to meeting you. Thank you.
