What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on the East Gardens, Asakusa, and Nezu
[Japan Guide Agency](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a full-day private tour of Tokyo for a group visiting Japan. Some of the guests were staying at a hotel, while others were staying at a hotel closer to Disneyland.
The guests seemed to enjoy historical places, so I selected three locations to visit: the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, Asakusa, and Nezu. At the East Gardens, they showed particular interest in the seasonal plants, so we spent a longer time there. At a tempura restaurant in Asakusa, everyone ordered a set of vegetable tempura. After visiting Nezu Shrine, I had thought about showing them a little of the Yanaka area if there was time, but the guests expressed a wish to purchase Shinkansen tickets at Tokyo Station for a tour on a later day. So at the end, I took them to Tokyo Station and helped them purchase the tickets before we parted ways.

I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.
I like reading, listening to the music, and walking. I belong to several walking clubs, and sometimes I guide the members around Tokyo.
One of my strengths as a guide is that I know well about kombu, Japanese kelps. In December every year, I work at a traditional kombu shop in Tsukiji Fish Market. At that shop, I learned a lot of things related to kombu or other ingredients for washoku. I can explain the different characteristics of them to you.
Also, I am familiar with Japanese flowers and plants. If you stroll around a Japanese garden with me, I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful flowers and unique plants in every season.
