What Is a Private Nagasaki Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visiting from North America and appeared to enjoy the tour. At the Peace Park, they listened with great interest to the meaning of the Peace Statue, the historical background of the Tower of Paper Cranes, and the story of the former prison site that remains in the park. At the Hypocenter Park, they listened with interest to the methods used to identify the exact hypocenter. At the Atomic Bomb Museum, they observed the situation of the bomb's damage very attentively. The guests said, "We were deeply moved." At Dejima, they listened with interest to the reasons Dejima was constructed and the role it later played. Since the guests expressed a wish to have lunch in Chinatown, I guided them to Chinatown, recommended a restaurant, and concluded the tour.
