- 10:00 Meet at Kobe Port Terminal
- 10:30 Kobe Herb Garden (walk from the summit station, board at the Kaze-no-Oka midway station)
- 12:40 From Sannomiya to Uozaki
- 13:20 Hamafukutsuru Sake Brewery Museum
- 14:30 Motomachi Chinatown Disband
What Is a Private Kobe Herb Garden and Sake Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The tour was planned according to the guests' wishes. Since the guests also grow many plants in their own garden at home, they greatly enjoyed strolling through the herb garden at this time of year. As the garden had reopened after renovation in April, the guests were able to fully enjoy the Kobe cityscape from an even more attractive garden terrace. The guests were also very fond of drinks, so I believe they were greatly looking forward to the sake museum. There, the guests sampled several kinds of sake and seemed very pleased. They also did some shopping and had an enjoyable time. Finally, I guided the guests to the shuttle bus returning to the port, and we parted ways in Chinatown.

Our guide Chiyuki was the best part of the trip. Super earnest, so generous with her knowledge of the history and culture. The tour had a lot to cover, from the sake making area to the Kobe Herb Garden Ropeway on the opposite side of the city, all in one afternoon. Miles to cover but never once did we feel rushed. We had lovely conversations along the way and tons of pictures to take home. Last but not least, when we requested for her recommendations of Kobe beef places, she pointed us to a top notch Kobe Beef Teppanyaki option – while prudently ensuring it was a value for money experience. After getting off to a rocky start our guide was wonderful! She took us to the Herb Gardens
which was fabulous and the for a Kibe beef lunch, then toured Chinatown and did some
