Title: What Is a Slow-Paced Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from North America, and I guided them on their first day in Tokyo after a cruise tour. Since one of the guests could not walk long distances, we used Uber and taxis for all transportation and proceeded at a relaxed pace with breaks along the way. Koishikawa Korakuen Garden was beautifully green, with azaleas, rabbit-ear irises, and wisteria in bloom, and the guests, who love flowers and nature, were delighted. A group of elderly men with cameras were near the pond, so I spoke to them and learned they were waiting to photograph a kingfisher; they showed us many photos they had taken there, and it was a very lively exchange. For lunch, since fish was not an option, I suggested a yakiniku restaurant, and the guests finished everything and said it was delicious. While keeping an eye on the well-being of the guests, they also enjoyed shopping for souvenirs for family and themselves, including prayer beads, a good-luck charm, a kimono gown, a beckoning cat, cat earrings, and rice crackers. We visited fewer places than usual and toured at a leisurely pace, and after seeing them off at their hotel, they told me it had been a wonderful tour, and we concluded.

Our wonderful guide, Takako, took us on a tour of Tokyo. She helped us create a plan based on our interests and was flexible when we needed to change the itinerary a bit due to extreme heat. She was friendly, informative, and helpful. We enjoyed learning about Japanese culture and history from Takako, and we saw amazing temples and ate delicious sushi. I highly recommend this tour and Takako as a guide!

We had an amazing day with Takako. Takako got in contact prior to our tour to create the perfect itinerary. She collected us from our hotel and helped us get our travel cards and showed us how to use the public transport. Takako altered our tour and took us to Harajuku Takeshite street, which our teenagers really enjoyed. Takako was really informative and friendly and made the day really enjoyable. We would have no hesitation in booking her again. Takako showed us more in 6 hours than we would have seen in a week if left to our own devices. Thanks Takako and we will watch The Transporter!
