Tour Itinerary
- 1. Meeting time 10:30 at Hiroshima Station
- 2. Visit Shukkeien Garden from 10:45 to 11:20
- 3. Visit the A-bomb dome and other monuments from 11:35 to 13:20.
- 4. Visit the Museum from 13:30 to 14:00
- 5. Visit the Hiroshima National Prayer Hall from 14:05 to 14:25.
- 6. Goodbye in front of the tram for MIYAJIMA-guchi
Title: What Is a Private Hiroshima Guided Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests enjoyed the azaleas at Shukkeien Garden and had fun feeding the carp. Upon arriving in front of the Atomic Bomb Dome, they said they had a strong interest in world history and were very curious about the atomic bombing and the reasons Japan started the war, so I explained why Japan began the Pacific War, the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, and its consequences. They then asked questions about my family and why the United States dropped two atomic bombs, on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In front of the memorial cenotaph, they were interested to learn that a few years ago President Obama became the first sitting U.S. president to visit Hiroshima and gave a speech there. After visiting the museum, they said, "Thanks to your explanation, I understood the contents of the museum well. But it is so tragic! Why don't the survivors resent America?" so I explained that the survivors came to wish, more than hatred, for friendship and a world that cherishes each individual life. I then explained the transportation to Miyajima, their next destination, and we parted ways.

Hiroshima Tour with Yoshi
Yoshi was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond—meeting us at the station and making everything feel effortless and perfectly organized.
She is incredibly knowledgeable, especially about Hiroshima’s history. What made the experience even more special is that her perspective comes from someone who was born and raised there. Hearing the stories, details, and context directly from her added a level of depth and authenticity that you simply cannot get otherwise.
Beyond her knowledge, Yoshi is just a beautiful human being—kind, warm, and genuinely caring. Spending the day with her felt like a hug to the heart. She made us feel comfortable, cared for, and fully present in such a meaningful place.
She guided us through every site with perfect timing and intention, making sure we experienced everything without ever feeling rushed.
If you are visiting Hiroshima, I cannot recommend Yoshi enough. Seeing the city through her eyes is something truly unforgettable.
