- 7:30 Hotel Meet (@Hotel)
- 7:30-7:50 Move (on foot; Hotel → Yasaka Shrine)
- 7:50-8:30 Yasaka Shrine visit
- 8:30-9:50 Kiyomizu-dera visit (including; Yasaka Pagoda, Koshin-do, Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka)
- 9:50-10:10 Move (city bus: Gojozaka → Higashiyama Shichijo)
- 10:10-11:00 Sanjusangendo visit
- 11:00-11:20 Move (Keihan train; Keihan Shichijo → Fushimi Inari)
- 11:20-12:10 Fushimi Inari Taisha visit
- 12:10-12:40 Move (Fushimi Inari → Gion Shijo)
- 12:40-13:30 Lunch (Chibo Gion branch)
- 13:30 Tour end After lunch, we parted with the guests at Gion Shijo Station.

The guest was a visitor from North America. Originally the plan had been for the guest to join together with another person, but that person was unable to walk around, so the tour proceeded with the guest alone. I took the guest to Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera, Sanjusangen-do, and Fushimi Inari Taisha. Since the guest wished to have a local meal for lunch, I took them to an okonomiyaki restaurant. The summer weather made it perfect conditions for sightseeing. Although Kiyomizu-dera, which we visited first, was part of an early-morning tour, there were already many people coming to visit. At Fushimi Inari Taisha the grounds were extremely crowded, but by chance a festival, the Minakuchi Hashu Sai, was being held, and the guest was able to view a little of it. The okonomiyaki was not a particular favorite, but the guest enjoyed eating it. The guest said that of all the places on today's tour, Sanjusangen-do was the one they liked the most.

Our Kyoto guided tour (Aioi Michiharu) was a great way to see some of the city’s most famous sights. The itinerary was well organized, starting with a convenient hotel pickup before visiting Fushimi Inari Taisha. Walking through the thousands of red torii gates was a memorable experience, and our guide shared interesting background about the shrine that added helpful context.
We then explored the Kiyomizu area, including Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Yasaka Pagoda, and Yasaka Koshindo Temple. The route offered a nice mix of historic landmarks, traditional streets, and scenic viewpoints. There was enough time at each stop to take photos and enjoy the surroundings without feeling rushed.
What really made this tour special was our guide’s knowledge, friendliness, and enthusiasm. He provided interesting cultural insights, recommended local foods and hidden photo spots, and made sure everyone in the group was comfortable throughout the day.

Michi our guide was excellent! Great communication before the tour and laid out an entire day for us. Was very accommodating and understood when the heat got to us and needed to take a break. He was very knowledgeable and gave us great pieces of information about the beautiful city of Kyoto. Would highly recommend the tour and Michi!!

Michi was an excellent tour guide! He was very knowledgeable about the history of all the sites we visited, was able to answer all of core questions, and knew where to find cold water when we were all thirsty! We really enjoyed our whole 4 hour tour.
