Tour Itinerary
- Meet at 9:00 at the entrance of Hotel → Walk to Peace Memorial Park → From 9:20, visit the hypocenter, Atomic Bomb Dome, Rest House, Children's Peace Monument, Cenotaph, and museum shop → At 11:30, walk from the museum to Hiroden Genbaku Dome-mae → Arrive at Hiroden Miyajimaguchi at 13:00, board the ferry at 13:10 → At 13:50, have lunch at the okonomiyaki restaurant "Kuwaranka" on Omotesando → At 14:40, visit Itsukushima Shrine and Daishoin Temple → Board the ferry at 16:00 → Take the Hiroden from Miyajimaguchi Station at 16:20 → Get off at Hatchobori at 17:00 and disband.
What Is a Private Peace Park Tour in Hiroshima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from Oceania. Throughout the tour, I guided them around the Peace Memorial Park, noting at the outset that I would be glad if I could help shift any pessimistic impressions of Hiroshima into something more positive. Especially at the Children's Peace Monument, we offered paper cranes that the guests had brought and made, in a gesture of remembrance. Their first impression of Hiroshima, coming after Tokyo and Osaka, was that they appreciated how it was not overcrowded with people. I incorporated coffee breaks here and there so that they would feel less tired. I was deeply moved to hear the words, "Thanks to you, our perspective has changed. Thank you." One of the guests even said, "I want to live in Japan!" which reassured me that I had been able to convey the appeal not only of Hiroshima but of Japan as a whole. I look forward to guiding again.

Hayato was a great tour guide. My family and I loved our time in Hiroshima and Miyajima with him. He took us to a local cuisine for lunch after the peace memorial and before heading to Miyajima. He has a lot of knowledge of the area and was also very communicative. My children also loved him. We ended up spending more time than planned and he was so gracious to stay with us extra time and make sure we had the best time while we were here. I would highly recommend booking with Hayato. We have been in Japan for 2 weeks and this was our best day we had!
