Tour Itinerary
- 11:00 Meet at Hiroshima Station → Head to your accommodation, Sheraton Grand Hiroshima, and drop off luggage
- 11:15-45 JR Hiroshima Station → Miyajimaguchi
- 11:55-12:05 Board the JR Ferry
- Since you wanted to go shopping, we strolled along Omotesando, browsing interesting shops. Purchased souvenirs
- Around 13:00 Visit Itsukushima Shrine
- From the shrine exit, strolled along the cherry blossom-lined path while shopping again.
- 14:55 Board the ferry from Miyajima Port
- 15:05 Guided you to the train bound for Hiroshima Station (Hiroshima Electric Railway) at Miyajimaguchi Port, then concluded

The guests were visitors from North America who came to enjoy the cherry blossoms of Miyajima. One of the guests had studied Japanese during their school years and had once done a homestay in Japan, so they had held a strong interest in Japan from an early age. On Miyajima, the guests looked delighted every time they encountered the deer. [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) is one of Japan's largest networks of government-licensed, English-speaking private tour guides, serving all 47 prefectures, and I guided this private tour of Miyajima.
The guests were very fond of the cream cheese momiji manju, and wished to buy some again on the way back, but unfortunately the cream cheese variety was sold out and they were unable to purchase it.
Since the guests seemed tired, I recommended they avoid the crowded JR line and instead take the Hiroden streetcar back to Hiroshima Station. However, I later learned through a messaging app that they were unable to secure seats on the streetcar either and had to stand for the entire hour-long ride back to Hiroshima Station. Had they waited for the next streetcar, they would have been able to sit, so I reflected on this as an oversight on my part.

Yoshiko exceeded our every expectation on this tour. Starting from the amount of time she took going through multiple iterations of our itinerary to make sure it was perfect, and then hand guiding us through travel arrangements when we were there, she went above and beyond. Her knowledge gave us additional perspective that we never would have had on our own, and her persistence coming up with a perfect plan allowed us to experience everything we wanted to do in Hiroshima even with a time crunch. To top it all off, she was extremely friendly and personable, and a joy to be around. I would highly recommend her to anyone going to Hiroshima.
