**Title:** What's a Private Cherry Blossom Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

[Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private tour of Tokyo focused on cherry blossoms for guests visiting from Oceania. The guests had long dreamed of visiting Japan during the cherry blossom season, and had realized that wish. Two days earlier, they had visited Mount Fuji and were delighted to have seen it in perfect condition.
Although we started early at 8:00, in line with the guests' wishes, I designed the tour with a main focus on viewing cherry blossoms.
First, we headed from Yurakucho Station near the hotel to Tokyo Station, where I explained how to use the Shinkansen, and then continued to the Imperial Palace and Nijubashi Bridge. Because it was early in the morning, there were few people around, and the guests were surprised by the quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
Next, we visited Shinjuku Gyoen, where the sight of cherry blossoms in full bloom moved the guests greatly, who exclaimed, "This is exactly the view I wanted to see." They spent nearly two hours walking around the garden and taking countless photos.
At Meiji Shrine, I explained Shinto and its influence on Japanese culture, as well as how to worship. After actually trying the worship themselves, the guests appeared deeply moved.
Finally, at Shibuya Crossing, the guests were overwhelmed by the crowds and vibrant scenery, an experience they could not have back home.

Highly recommend this tour for first time visit to Tokyo. Our guide Atsushi took great care to acclimate us with navigating through busy train stations efficiently with a group of eight family members. Along the way and at each site he explained various cultural practices and associated histories that made the tour very immersive and enjoyable. Best Tour for a Short Visit
Atsushi-san was an incredibly well-researched and friendly tour guide. His knowledge allowed us to explore and get to the historical significance of the various locations we visited. His explanations were simple but comprehensive. The six hours flew by and included some off-the-beaten opportunities including coffee at a very austere but memorable location near the fish market. I would highly recommend him as well as this tour for anyone with limited time in Tokyo wanting see as much as possible

Our guide, Atsushi, was great! He met us at our hotel in Hakone and took us clockwise to tour all the sites. He was informative and taught us a lot. Our group was two adults and a 14 year old. We saw Mt Fuji from the rope way, but unfortunately the pirate ship was canceled because of high wind. We would absolutely use Atsushi again for this tour, or any other tour he provides.
