From there the group visited Shopping at Canal City at 10:00, Kushida Shrine at 11:00, Cherry blossom viewing at Ohori Park and Fukuoka Castle at 13:15, Fukuoka Tower at 15:15 and Takayama Pawnshop at 16:15.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Subway Fujisaki Station to Subway Tenjin Station (640JPY); In front of Tenjin Solaria Stage by Nishitetsu Bus～Hakata Port International Terminal (260JPY). Across 2 sections the fare came to 900JPY per person.
Can You Do a Private Day Tour in Fukuoka from Hakata Port? A Licensed Guide's Report
Despite several attempts to get in touch beforehand, it was difficult to get a reply, and I was only able to make contact just before the tour. Because of this, I decided on the itinerary after arriving at Hakata Port and hearing what the guests wanted to do. Since the group's leader had a visual impairment, I paid close attention to helping with getting around and moving safely. I made an effort to talk with the guests as much as possible. At first things felt a little awkward, but gradually everyone opened up, and in the end we parted on a very good note. The pawnshop we had planned to visit happened to be closed that day, but the guests were satisfied simply to have been taken all the way there.

Mr Masaaki Chiwata made our trip to Fukuoka so special. He was flexible, planning our itinerary based on the sites we wanted to see and Viator gave us a choice of visiting. We chose Nanzoin Temple, Tochoji Temple and Ohori Park to visit. Getting from the cruise port to each place, would have been difficult on our own to figure out so it was nice to have him as we utilized a taxi, train and subway to visit each site. And then between he gave us history and background information about each place we were going as well as the city and had maps to help. Give us a visual as well.
