What Can You See on a Private Kobe Tour Before a Cruise Departure? A Licensed Guide's Report

Today's guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. The tour was originally planned from 9:00 to 15:00, but because the guests' cruise ship was departing at 15:00, we changed the schedule to run from 8:30 to 14:00. Also, since many facilities open only after 9:00, we started the tour from Kobe Harborland.

The weather was lovely that day, and we pleasantly toured Harborland, Sorakuen Garden, and the Kitano Ijinkan foreign residences district, then went to the base station of the Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden ropeway. However, there was a long line of people waiting for the elevator here. The guests said, "We don't want to wait long, so let's go somewhere else," so we headed to our next destination, the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum. The guests learned in detail about the sake brewing process, enjoyed a tasting that included junmai daiginjo sake, and purchased the Japanese sake they wanted as well as a gift for family.

It was just about lunchtime. The guests said, "We'd like to eat sushi and sashimi," so we went to a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant and had a meal. The guests enjoyed their meal here. There was a plan to go shopping afterward, but the guests wished to return to the cruise ship, so we headed back to the port terminal and ended the tour a little early. The guests were very pleased.
