From there the group visited Miyajima at 09:00, Hiroshima Peace Park at 13:00 and Dissolution in front of the Atomic Bomb Dome at 16:00.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Shin-Hakushima to Miyajimaguchi by train (330JPY); Miyajimaguchi to Nishi-Hiroshima by train (330JPY); Nishi-Hiroshima to In front of the Atomic Bomb Dome by bus (240JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 900JPY per person.
What Is a Private Miyajima and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
I had the pleasure of guiding a group visiting from Oceania. They mentioned that they live in a small inland town, and the atmosphere throughout the tour was warm and relaxed. The rain from the previous night had cleared, and we were blessed with beautiful clear skies on the day of the tour. On Miyajima, the cherry blossom buds had just begun to take on a hint of color, and together with the bright smiles of the guests, it made for a moment where one could truly feel the arrival of spring. For lunch, we visited an okonomiyaki restaurant on the mainland side with a view of Miyajima, and were able to be seated without any wait. In the afternoon, after touring the Peace Memorial Park, we also stopped by a local supermarket and an antique shop, allowing the guests to experience everyday Japanese culture. From start to finish, it was a calm and heartwarming tour.

Originally, I’m a cycling guide doing cycling tours all over Japan.
But, already done Hiroshima & Miyajima tour more than 400 times.
I traveled many countries in my younger days. I traveled Europe, US, China, India, US, Mexico, Peru Australia, NZ, and so on.
I decided to use this experience to become a guide.
I’m afraid but no tipping required, because cycling guides are not allowed to have tipping in my association. And you do not need to pay for my lunch, because my lunch is prepared by our group.

My wife & I spent a fabulous day with Yuji visiting Miyajima & Hiroshima.. From his greeting to us on our arrival at Hiroshima station to saying good-bye at the same location 8 hours later, he gave us wonderful perspectives of both locations as well as sharing his knowledge of the sights we saw.

Incredible Experience
We had an incredible experience visiting Hiroshima and Miyajima for the first time. Our tour guide, Yuji, made the experience one we will never forget. From start to finish the trip was thoroughly enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable explaining meaning, symbolism, answering questions and went above and beyond to give us the best experience. Yuji really tailored the tour to things we found interesting and made transport with trains and the ferry very easy to navigate- as we did a day trip from Osaka. My husband and I were very fortunate to have Yuji as our guide. Highly recommend this private tour if you are considering Hiroshima and Miyajima!
