Title: What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Family Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Arashiyama, Kiyomizu-dera, and Nishiki Market

The guests were a family group from North America. The day was very cold and windy, and there was even light rain when we arrived at the Monkey Park, but the whole group cheerfully climbed the mountain and enjoyed feeding the wild monkeys. In Arashiyama, the guests took interest in the shops along the street and enjoyed baby castella at a Rilakkuma store. On Teramachi Street, some of the guests browsed a brand-name secondhand shop, while others purchased brandy at the "Museum of Liquor." At Nishiki Market, they bought strawberry candy and honey from Sugi Bee Garden and seemed very satisfied. At Kiyomizu-dera, the guests listened with great interest to the explanation about the historical record of 234 people who actually jumped from the stage and about the "kakezukuri" cantilevered construction. It was a bright and close-knit group, and I truly enjoyed guiding them. I have also been informed that the guests kindly wrote a review via chat after the tour, so I would appreciate it if you could take a look.

Hello! My name is Umi. I was born and raised in Kyoto, and I still live here today.

I have always loved traveling. When I visit another country, I enjoy learning about its history, culture, and way of life from local people. Talking with locals helps me understand a place much better than simply visiting famous sights. That’s why I became a tour guide.

Through my tours, I hope to help visitors gain a deeper understanding of Japan. In addition to its beauty and traditions, I am also happy to talk about modern life in Japan. My goal is for my guests to leave Japan with wonderful memories and a deeper appreciation of the country.

I’m looking forward to meeting you!
