This private tour of Hiroshima began at 09:00, when the guide met the guests at Hotel Meet, and finished at 17:00. The day ran to 8 hours from start to finish. It included lunch at 13:00.

What Is a Private Miyajima and Hiroshima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from North America. During our pre-tour communication, they mentioned an interest in bird photography, so I researched in advance the types of birds that can be seen around Miyajima and Hiroshima in early spring, and introduced them during the tour. They showed great interest in topics related to nature and wild birds, and our conversations flowed easily. When I noticed that one of the guests was walking with a slight limp, I checked in, and adjusted the originally planned route to prioritize places with elevators and escalators, guiding with attention to safety. On Miyajima, I attempted to use a taxi, but vehicles were hard to find that day, so we used shortcuts to reduce the walking distance and proceeded at a comfortable pace. Since the guests did not seem particularly focused on the history related to the atomic bomb, I gave a concise explanation at the Peace Park and instead allowed more time to enjoy strolling and taking in the scenery. Throughout the tour, we were able to proceed in a calm and pleasant atmosphere, sharing a relaxed time centered on topics of nature and photography.

Originally, I’m a cycling guide doing cycling tours all over Japan.
But, already done Hiroshima & Miyajima tour more than 400 times.
I traveled many countries in my younger days. I traveled Europe, US, China, India, US, Mexico, Peru Australia, NZ, and so on.
I decided to use this experience to become a guide.
I’m afraid but no tipping required, because cycling guides are not allowed to have tipping in my association. And you do not need to pay for my lunch, because my lunch is prepared by our group.

My wife & I spent a fabulous day with Yuji visiting Miyajima & Hiroshima.. From his greeting to us on our arrival at Hiroshima station to saying good-bye at the same location 8 hours later, he gave us wonderful perspectives of both locations as well as sharing his knowledge of the sights we saw.

Incredible Experience
We had an incredible experience visiting Hiroshima and Miyajima for the first time. Our tour guide, Yuji, made the experience one we will never forget. From start to finish the trip was thoroughly enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable explaining meaning, symbolism, answering questions and went above and beyond to give us the best experience. Yuji really tailored the tour to things we found interesting and made transport with trains and the ferry very easy to navigate- as we did a day trip from Osaka. My husband and I were very fortunate to have Yuji as our guide. Highly recommend this private tour if you are considering Hiroshima and Miyajima!
