Tour Itinerary in Detail

This private tour of Tokyo began at 10:30, when the guide met the guests at Peninsula Tokyo, and finished at 14:15. The day ran to 3 hours and 45 minutes from start to finish.

From there the group visited Sumo Museum at 11:00, Purchase Welcome Suica at Ueno Station at 11:40, Ueno Toshogu Shrine (go inside for a tour) at 12:15 and Asakusa (Skytree photos) at 13:10.

Travel between the sites was by public transport: Yurakucho to Ryogoku by train (170JPY); Ryogoku to Ueno by train (170JPY); Ueno to Asakusa by train (180JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 520JPY per person.

The weather was cloudy, but it managed to hold up throughout the day. After meeting at the Hotel, I took the guests to the Sumo Museum as they had requested. It was not a very large museum, so we soon headed to Ueno Station. Right after meeting, the guests had requested to purchase a Welcome Suica, so after buying it at Ueno Station, we proceeded to Ueno Toshogu Shrine. There were questions about religion, so I talked about Shinto and Buddhism. The guests took many photos after entering through the gate. They also took many photos in Asakusa. I explained the history of Senso-ji Temple, and we leisurely walked around the temple grounds before parting ways. I received a tip.
