Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Fukuoka's Temples Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
We met at Hakata Port at 9:00 and traveled by bus to Gion. At Tochoji Temple, I explained Buddhism and the Shingon sect and showed them the Great Buddha and the depiction of hell. Since the guests were also interested in Zen, we walked to Shofukuji Temple, where I explained Zen and the samurai. Afterwards, I asked about their wishes, and since they wanted to see Nanzoin, we took the train to Nanzoin. We returned to Hakata Station by train and went to a ramen restaurant. Based on their wishes, we then visited a Pokémon shop. We returned to the port by bus, and finally I explained the Repatriation Memorial before seeing the guests off at the port at 15:30. As the guests were interested in Buddhism and Shinto, they asked many questions. Since I was able to explain Buddhism and Shinto, I believe they were satisfied with the tour.
