What's a Private Winter Walking Tour of Sapporo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
After a heavy snowfall a few days earlier, the snow had melted during a warm spell and then frozen again on a cold day, leaving sidewalks extremely slippery throughout the area. I advised the guests to take great care, and fortunately they walked cautiously and were able to get through the whole tour without a single fall. One of the guests seemed particularly delighted by the snowy scenery and was very eager to walk on the snow. The view from the Okurayama Observatory was wonderful, with clear weather and hardly any wind, so the guests thoroughly enjoyed the scenery of Sapporo. At the end, since there was a request to have ramen for lunch in Sapporo, I guided the group to Tanukikoji, where many ramen shops line the street, and the tour concluded there.

Super Sapporo in April with Tom.
Tom was kind enough to meet at our hotel to start the tour and then sat with us to make sure we saw the best of Sapporo that was available to us on the day. We even managed some Cherry Blossom which was an unexpected bonus.
Tom ensured we got to Sapporos highest view away from any crowds and navigated our route brilliantly. He left us at the Sapporo Brewery for us to drink and eat in our own time. We wish Tom sincere thanks for a great day in Sapporo.

We had a wonderful city tour with Tom in Sapporo! He was very knowledgeable about Hokkaido’s history and culture and had a lot of great stories to share. He was extremely friendly and patient as well. Highly recommend booking a tour with Tom if you want to see Sapporo’s highlights in a day! He also does tours further out of Sapporo city center.
