What Is a Private Nagasaki Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on the Atomic Bomb Museum, Peace Park, and Dejima

At the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, the guests viewed the exhibits with great interest, and they also listened to the account of my own family's experience of the bombing. Since the guests tended to view the exhibits quite separately from one another, I found myself unsure of whose pace to match and where to provide my guiding. They looked carefully at the air-raid shelter in Peace Park. During the tour I learned that the guests were fans of football, so we had lunch at Stadium City. They were very pleased, and when I mentioned that V-Varen Nagasaki had been promoted to J1, the conversation became very lively. At Dejima, the guests were interested in the history of the Dutch trading post, so I explained it in connection with Hirado.
