What Is a Private Arashiyama Day Tour in Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from North America. The tour proceeded smoothly through the bamboo grove of Arashiyama, Tenryu-ji Temple, and the area around the Oi River. After lunch, the plan was to visit the Kimono Forest and then the Monkey Park, but the signal was poor and we lost contact with the taxi. On top of that, there was an enormous crowd and traffic restrictions, so it took more than an hour before we could find a taxi. Since the original itinerary was to conclude near the boat rental area after the Monkey Park, I guided the guests according to the planned route and we wrapped up the tour there.
