Hello, my name is Shizuka, but if it’s difficult, please call me Susie instead. I was born and raised in Osaka. At university in Kyoto, I majored in English literature. After graduation, I worked in the overseas human resources department of a major electronics manufacturer. After I resigned, I spent a year and a half in Madrid and Montevideo. Then I moved to Tokyo and after a while, I started working as an English teacher at private high schools, and an English school for office workers and college students. Now I have returned to my hometown Osaka and started a new career as a tour guide. I passed the test of the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter and also have licenses of Itinerary Management Chief and Certified Domestic Travel Service Supervisor.
I like Kyoto and I passed the Kyoto Tourism Culture Certification Test grade 2. Now I’m studying for the grade 1 test. I also work as an official guide of Nijo Castle in Kyoto.
There are many places to see in my hometown Osaka and Nara, too. Looking forward to guiding you in my favorite areas!
