What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kiyomizu-dera, Kinkaku-ji, and Fushimi Inari
Today I guided a group visiting from North America. They had a tea ceremony experience scheduled at Ninen-zaka starting at 15:00 after this tour, so we needed to make sure to arrive there in time. To avoid the crowds at Kiyomizu-dera, we deliberately visited the nearby Kiyomizu-dera first. The grounds were not too crowded, and the guests were delighted by the beautiful autumn foliage. Afterward, we went to Kinkaku-ji, and since the weather was clear and there was no wind, the Golden Pavilion reflected on the pond was exceptionally beautiful. They enjoyed lunch as well, and Fushimi Inari Taisha happened not to be too crowded at the right timing, so they were pleased to take many great photos. While introducing shops around Gion and places such as Kodai-ji, we were able to make our way with time to spare and bring them to the location for the tea ceremony experience. I believe they enjoyed themselves.

Kaeko Tanigawa was fantastic at helping us create a tour that worked for our family with two young children. It was a very hot day, but the air conditioned van was perfect. We loved making ramen together, feeding monkeys, and seeing a few top sites of Kyoto.

Kaeko was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and my husband and I had the best time with her during our honeymoon in Kyoto in April!
