Over the course of the day the route took in Celestine Kyoto Gion at 11:30, Fushimiinari (0) by train at 12:00, Kiyomizudera (500) by taxi at 13:00, Kinkakuji (500) by taxi at 15:00, Ryoanji (600) by taxi at 16:00 and Teramachi Shopping Arcade at 17:10.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Gion-Shijo to Fushimi Inari by train (240JPY). Across 1 sections the fare came to 240JPY per person.
What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report with Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera, and Kinkaku-ji
The guests were visitors from North America. They had visited Nara the day before and traveled from Osaka on the day of the tour, so we started at 11:30. The bamboo grove in Sagano had originally been part of the plan, but based on advice from a friend that it is better to go early in the morning, we changed the itinerary. Since they had bought a goshuin book in Nara and started at Todai-ji, they were able to collect goshuin stamps at today's destinations: Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera, Kinkaku-ji, and Ryoan-ji. However, at Ryoan-ji it was a little late in the day, so they could not have it written directly and instead had the date added to a pre-written sheet. Finally, we went to Teramachi shopping arcade, where I provided information about various shops, and then we concluded the tour. When asked for a dinner recommendation, I introduced a yakiniku restaurant within walking distance of the hotel and made a reservation for them. It seems they enjoyed it very much.
