From there the group visited Kinkaku-ji Temple at 10:30, Nijo Castle at 11:50, Nishiki Market (Lunch) at 13:00, Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine at 14:10 and Kyoto Station at 15:30.
What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests came to Kyoto for sightseeing and had been looking forward to it very much. To make sure they could visit all the sights they wished to see, I proposed an itinerary that took into account the order of visits and the allocation of time. Although we had entered the peak sightseeing season and it was quite crowded, we managed to navigate around the congestion, and they showed great interest in and enjoyed every destination. They particularly loved Nishiki Market and visited several shops. They did some shopping and bought many kinds of uniquely Japanese foods. "It was a wonderful day!" they said, leaving Kyoto looking thoroughly satisfied.

Our guide Chiyuki was the best part of the trip. Super earnest, so generous with her knowledge of the history and culture. The tour had a lot to cover, from the sake making area to the Kobe Herb Garden Ropeway on the opposite side of the city, all in one afternoon. Miles to cover but never once did we feel rushed. We had lovely conversations along the way and tons of pictures to take home. Last but not least, when we requested for her recommendations of Kobe beef places, she pointed us to a top notch Kobe Beef Teppanyaki option – while prudently ensuring it was a value for money experience. You are the best Chiyuki – grateful for your hospitality and gracious hosting.

After getting off to a rocky start our guide was wonderful! She took us to the Herb Gardens
which was fabulous and the for a Kibe beef lunch, then toured Chinatown and did some
