What Is a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Meiji Shrine, and Shinjuku Gyoen

The forecast was for a cloudy day with occasional weak sunshine, but it rained partway through, so we bought plastic umbrellas to manage. In Asakusa, the guests took their time shopping and enjoyed themselves. To save time, we bought some Choco Monaka Jumbo ice cream and other items at a convenience store in Asakusa and ate them on the subway. The guests were visitors from Europe, and they were already familiar with Japanese convenience stores, and the Choco Monaka Jumbo was well received. We continued on to Meiji Shrine and Takeshita Street, and since we were slightly ahead of schedule, at Shinjuku Gyoen I took plenty of time to guide them through the Japanese garden. The autumn foliage colored early this year, and the guests enjoyed it. I also guided them through the greenhouse, where they enjoyed a variety of flowers. We finished by visiting Golden Gai. A tip was received.
