Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Shibuya, and Ginza
The guest was visiting Japan for the first time from North America. Although they had traveled all over the world, they had never been to Japan before, and having heard positive impressions from someone who had visited Japan earlier, they decided to make this trip. The guest arrived in Tokyo around 4:30 in the early morning on the day of the tour and joined this tour shortly after. The following day they planned to visit Kyoto, and the day after that to board a cruise from the pier in Yokohama, setting off on a journey of about nine days around various parts of Japan.
This private one-day tour was arranged through [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/), one of Japan's largest networks of government-licensed, English-speaking private tour guides serving all 47 prefectures.
At Meiji Shrine, the guest did not offer prayers for personal reasons, but after I explained the customs, they watched me offer prayers. Since the guest had imagined Meiji Shrine to be the Imperial Palace, I explained the difference repeatedly. The chrysanthemum exhibition was just beginning, and the guest viewed it with great interest.
In Shibuya, I introduced various restaurants, and in the end the guest enjoyed cream-sauce pasta, a salad, and a cake for dessert at a casual restaurant, deciding to enjoy Japanese food later on the cruise ship.
Next, in Ginza, at the guest's request, we visited MIKIMOTO and a shop where one could see kintsugi works. We had planned to head to the Imperial Palace afterward, but the guest became very sleepy and wished to return to the hotel, so we parted a little early. I saw them back to their hotel and said goodbye.

It was a GREAT TOUR with Noripy! With a family of many different ages and walking levels this was fantastic. We were picked up from our cruise in Yokohama and dropped off at Haneda airport. We had about 10 hours before our flight and it went flawlessly.

Tokyo in 4 hours
Noripy was excellent! She guided us through several parts of the city: Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station, Tokyo Tower, Sangedatsumon, Zojo-ji, Meiji Jingu, and Golden Gai. A great way to see many Tokyo sites and get acquainted with the city on your first day!

Lovely experience. My guide was an absolutely adorable lady who managed to fit all the iconic Tokyo spots into my 6-hour tour without anything feeling rushed. Noripy gave a 5/5 tour! She provided useful instruction for public transport use, fascinating historical information, spiritual customs and current cultural practices- All with an infectious smile and never ending positive energy. Noripy’s tour allowed us to made the most of the rest of our time in Tokyo. I feel like we did 5 days of sightseeing in 6 hrs! But Noripy made sure to always check if we wanted a break. Our tour was customized for my 2 teenage kids and I, and if we saw or thought of something along the way that interested us, Noripy accommodated!
