- 9:30-11:00 Sightseeing in Arashiyama (Togetsukyo Bridge, Tenryu-ji Temple, Bamboo Grove Path, etc.)
- 11:16-11:23 Saga-Arashiyama → Enmachi JR 180 yen
- 11:35-11:47 Nishinokyo-Enmachi → Kinkaku-ji-michi Bus 230 yen
- 12:00-12:30 Sightseeing at Kinkaku-ji Temple
- 12:40-13:10 Kinkaku-ji-michi → Nijojo-mae Bus 230 yen
- 13:20-14:20 Sightseeing at Nijo Castle
- 14:30-14:34 Nijojo-mae → Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae

What Is a Full-Day Private Walking Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
I guided guests visiting from Oceania. Starting from a Hankyu train, we toured the Arashiyama area (Togetsukyo Bridge, the Kimono Forest, Tenryu-ji Temple, the Bamboo Grove Path, and more), followed by Kinkaku-ji Temple and Nijo Castle, before walking back to the Hotel through the Teramachi shopping street and Nishiki Market. Without using a taxi and without stopping for lunch, the guests walked all day, and I was truly impressed by their stamina and enthusiasm. They showed great interest in the scenery and history of Kyoto and listened attentively to my explanations.

Andy(Atsushi) was great and communicated with us beforehand about our itinerary. He was flexible with changes we requested. Andy was very informative during the tour. He also was willing to take our family’s pictures. We were able to stop and check out shops as we pleased along the way. He also accommodated lunch requests(as our daughter has food allergies).
One thing I wish we realized was that there is quite a bit of walking. We were fine but for people who are perhaps older or with young children you may want to consider taking a cab between different sites.

Andy Murao was an amazing and wonderful tour guide. He reached out to us with some ideas for our private tour. He worked with us as we made the tour perfectly suited to our needs. He met us on time. He navigated the crowds and the sites perfectly. He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. He even put together a nice photo collection of photos he emailed us after. Highly recommend.
