I guided a group visiting from Europe and North America. The members had known each other for a long time and often traveled together. Some of the guests had come to Japan many times, while others were visiting for the first time. It rained all day, but since we traveled by car and the rain was light while we were at Hamarikyu Gardens, it worked out well. At Hamarikyu Gardens, one of the guests heard an announcement over the garden's loudspeaker and, upon checking their belongings, realized a wallet was missing. It had been left at the entrance and was being kept there for safekeeping. We confirmed by phone and arranged to collect it on the way back. When retrieving it, identification was required, and since there was a photo of the passport on a mobile phone, they were able to receive it. The guests chose to visit the Sumida Hokusai Museum, where we saw only the permanent exhibition. Showing a guide license reportedly makes the special exhibition free as well. For the permanent exhibition alone, about 30 minutes was sufficient. It gave a good understanding of ukiyo-e and was well received. For lunch, since one of the guests could not eat fish, I took them to Edo Noren so they could choose a restaurant, and we went to a ramen shop. At the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, there was a parade of umbrellas that day, and they were excited by the liveliness of the city. They said they wanted to step briefly into a pachinko parlor, so we did. They plan to spend one more day sightseeing in Tokyo before traveling to various regions. There were many questions about everyday life in Japan, such as apartment prices, annual incomes, and the school system.

Our wonderful guide, Takako, took us on a tour of Tokyo. She helped us create a plan based on our interests and was flexible when we needed to change the itinerary a bit due to extreme heat. She was friendly, informative, and helpful. We enjoyed learning about Japanese culture and history from Takako, and we saw amazing temples and ate delicious sushi. I highly recommend this tour and Takako as a guide!

We had an amazing day with Takako. Takako got in contact prior to our tour to create the perfect itinerary. She collected us from our hotel and helped us get our travel cards and showed us how to use the public transport. Takako altered our tour and took us to Harajuku Takeshite street, which our teenagers really enjoyed. Takako was really informative and friendly and made the day really enjoyable. We would have no hesitation in booking her again. Takako showed us more in 6 hours than we would have seen in a week if left to our own devices. Thanks Takako and we will watch The Transporter!
