Tour Itinerary
- 8:36 Meet at the Shinkansen exit of Hiroshima Station
- 8:36-9:05 Travel: By tram to the Atomic Bomb Dome
- 9:05-10:10 Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park monument tour (Atomic Bomb Dome → Monument for Mobilized Students → Children's Peace Monument → Peace Bell → Flame of Peace → Cenotaph → Fountain of Peace → Gates of Peace)
- 10:10-11:20 Visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
- 11:20-11:40 Short break at the cafe next to the museum (ice cream), then walk to the World Heritage Sea Route high-speed boat boarding area
- 11:50-12:35 Travel: By World Heritage Sea Route high-speed boat to Miyajima
- 12:35-13:00 Travel from the ferry terminal to Omotesando shopping street while explaining along the way
- 13:00-13:30 The okonomiyaki restaurant reservation was made for 13:30~, so during that time the guests (7 people) have free time individually or in couples (Omotesando shopping street)
- 13:30-14:20 Lunch: Okonomiyaki (Kuranka)
- 14:20-15:45 Miyajima sightseeing (Great Torii Gate: walk to the gate due to low tide → Itsukushima Shrine → Daiganji Temple → Daishoin Temple → Machiya Street)
- 15:55-16:05 Travel: Ferry (Miyajima → Miyajimaguchi)
- 16:05-16:17 Travel: After a restroom break, walk to JR Miyajimaguchi
- 16:31-16:56 Travel: By JR to Hiroshima (Miyajimaguchi → Hiroshima Station)
- 17:10 At the guests' request, guide them to an Italian restaurant → Disband
Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group of friends visiting from Oceania. There were no particular issues during the tour. The Peace Memorial Park was fine, but the museum afterward was so extremely crowded — even for me, a guide accustomed to crowds, it was overwhelming — that it was difficult to view the exhibits properly, so I imagine it may have been somewhat disappointing for the guests. We then moved on to Miyajima, but unfortunately the okonomiyaki restaurant I often use was fully booked until 13:30, so we could not go in right away. I stood in front of the shop as a marker, and for a little under 30 minutes, the guests split into smaller groups and had some free time. Everyone seemed to head to the shops they wanted to visit, so it may have worked out for the better. After lunch, we toured the sightseeing spots of Miyajima and returned. The guests seemed most moved by the torii gate and the setting of Itsukushima Shrine. The Kaidan-meguri (dark path pilgrimage) at Daishoin Temple also seemed to be an enjoyable experience for them.

Keiko met us at our hotel for a 9am start. We found her very friendly and her English was excellent. During the course of the tour her knowledge of The events of Hiroshima before and after the bombing was of great benefit to us. Also her wealth of knowledge of Miyajima and the shrines made the trip well worth the visit. Keiko also pointed out certain places of interest along the way which we found very useful as well. Amazing tour & guide!
Unforgettable and emotionally moving tour of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, A-Bomb site, underground basement of a survivor of the bombing, and Shukkeien Gardens. Our tour guide, Kay (Keiko) made the tour special. From the time I booked the tour (four months prior), she was in contact with me ensuring our needs were accommodated and working with us on tour itinerary. She even checked for information on how we could get tickets to the Hiroshima Carp game. During the tour, she gave us important information surrounding the history, people, and road to recovery. Kay went above and beyond what most tour guides would do. Also, her English and comprehension was excellent! Highly recommend you ask for Kay.

Vamos en un crucero por Japón. El tour de Miyajima e Hiroshima ha sido el top del viaje. Lo más fantástico y maravilloso que hemos vivido. Keiko (Kay) ha sido una guía increíble. Pensó en todos los detalles y nos dio la oportunidad de conocer todo lo posible en muy poco tiempo. El tour fue en inglés, pero dio cantidades de detalles que pudimos traducir a los familiares que hablaban solo español. Keiko fue muy amable y atenta a darnos gusto a todos. Este tour lo recomiendo y viviría una y otra vez, en especial con Keiko.

私たちは日本を巡るクルーズに参加していますが、宮島と広島のツアーは旅のハイライトでした。これまでに体験した中で最も素晴らしく感動的なものでした。
ガイドのKeiko（ケイ）さんは本当に素晴らしかったです。細かいところまで気を配ってくれて、短い時間の中でできる限り多くの場所を案内してくれました。
ツアーは英語で行われましたが、彼女の説明はとても丁寧で、スペイン語しか話さない家族にも私たちが通訳して伝えることができました。
