What's a Private Cruise Day Tour of Miyajima and Hiroshima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from Europe on a cruise ship stopping in Hiroshima. They had visited Tokyo a few times for work over a decade earlier, but this was their first time visiting Japan for sightseeing, and both of them gave the impression of thoroughly enjoying Japan. They were also struck by how much Tokyo had changed since then. The tour began with a visit to Miyajima, and we were very fortunate: at Itsukushima Shrine we were able to see a local tutelary deity festival, and along the main approach we saw a festival parade centered on young children. The Great Torii Gate was at low tide, so we were also able to walk down beneath it and enjoy taking photographs. Afterward, they enjoyed okonomiyaki for lunch, and then I took them to the Peace Memorial Park, where we walked around the monuments and visited the Peace Memorial Museum. Both guests were especially interested in World War II, including the atomic bombing, and during the high-speed ferry ride from Miyajima to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park we were able to talk at length about topics such as why Japan entered World War II. At the end, they said they would make their own way back to the ferry terminal in Ujina, so we finished the tour ten minutes ahead of schedule. They appeared to have enjoyed the tour, and it was an enjoyable tour for me as well.

The tour was impressive and very nice. Minori is a great guide. She was good prepared and showed us all important things!
It’s is also good first to go to the museum and the monuments and later to the island.

We humans can develop so many great and good things, but out of some reason do so stupid things 😞
The island was a pleasure to walk around and see the dear in the streets.

Amazing tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima!
We had an amazing day exploring Hiroshima and Miyajima with Minori. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared the history and culture of each place in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. We were travelling as a family with my mum and my three daughters, and Minori was so patient, kind, and flexible, making the day enjoyable for everyone. We highly recommend Minori to anyone visiting Hiroshima and Miyajima!

We had an absolutely amazing day with Minori! Even before the tour started, the service was outstanding: she contacted us via WhatsApp to ask about our wishes and preferences to tailor the day perfectly for us.
She was a fantastic guide with a Lot of knowledge. A major highlight was that she went out of her way to reserve seats right at the counter of an Okonomiyaki restaurant for us, so we could watch the food being prepared up close. Even the rain couldn’t ruin our mood – in fact, it made the island beautifully uncrowded and quiet.
Thank you, Minori, for this unforgettable day! We highly recommend booking with her!
