Tour Itinerary in Detail
Meeting at Yokohama Shinko Terminal at 9:00, the group explored Kanagawa until the tour ended at 15:20. The day ran to 6 hours and 20 minutes from start to finish.
The itinerary covered Ofuna Station via Yokohama Station. at 10:00, Great Buddha of Kamakura at 10:40, Hasedera Temple at 11:30, Hokokuji Temple at 12:30, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine at 14:00 and Komachi Street at 14:40.

The guests were visitors from North America. They arrived in Yokohama after a Pacific crossing by cruise ship and were scheduled to continue on another cruise around Southeast Asia the following day, so this Kamakura tour was fit into the time in between.
Since they wanted to visit as many places as possible and were interested in trying new experiences, we traveled from Ofuna Station on the Shonan Monorail via Enoshima toward the Great Buddha. They already had some knowledge of Buddhism and Shinto, so I took the opportunity to explain their meanings, their influence on Japanese culture, and the differences in how prayers are offered.
At Hasedera Temple, they were delighted by the unique beauty of the garden and took many photographs.
We continued on to Hokokuji Temple and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. They took a liking to the ema (votive wooden plaques) and bought several as souvenirs. Finally, we visited a mameshiba cafe on Komachi Street, where they enjoyed a form of entertainment that can only be experienced in Japan. At the end, since they wanted to do some shopping, we finished the tour at Yokohama Station.

Highly recommend this tour for first time visit to Tokyo. Our guide Atsushi took great care to acclimate us with navigating through busy train stations efficiently with a group of eight family members. Along the way and at each site he explained various cultural practices and associated histories that made the tour very immersive and enjoyable. Best Tour for a Short Visit
Atsushi-san was an incredibly well-researched and friendly tour guide. His knowledge allowed us to explore and get to the historical significance of the various locations we visited. His explanations were simple but comprehensive. The six hours flew by and included some off-the-beaten opportunities including coffee at a very austere but memorable location near the fish market. I would highly recommend him as well as this tour for anyone with limited time in Tokyo wanting see as much as possible

Our guide, Atsushi, was great! He met us at our hotel in Hakone and took us clockwise to tour all the sites. He was informative and taught us a lot. Our group was two adults and a 14 year old. We saw Mt Fuji from the rope way, but unfortunately the pirate ship was canceled because of high wind. We would absolutely use Atsushi again for this tour, or any other tour he provides.
