The guests were visitors from North America on their first trip to Japan, doing some sightseeing in Tokyo just before departing on a cruise from the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal. When I met the guests at their hotel in the morning, the itinerary that had been provided to them by the cruise company (which had not been shared with me as the guide) was impossible to cover within six hours no matter how we tried, so I explained this, and they said, "We trust you, so we'll leave it to you." Partway through, a wish to do some shopping came up, and I guided them as much as time allowed. In the end, we finished without any time problems and were even able to stop by Yodobashi Akiba, where the guests had wanted to go, so they were very satisfied.

At Meiji Shrine, although it was crowded with tourists, the guests were delighted by the solemn atmosphere. After viewing the Imperial Palace, since they had not yet had breakfast, we decided to have a very early lunch at Tokyo Station. It was around 10:30, and the restaurants at GRANSTA Yaesu North were not yet open, so I guided them to a soba restaurant in the basement. They had kakiage and shrimp tempura soba, and although it was very casual soba, they were pleased and said it was "very delicious." After that, rather than the stop in Ginza that one of the guests had been interested in, priority was given to a wish to buy a new digital camera, as one of the guests enjoys photography, so I suggested Yodobashi Camera. It happened to be on the way to Asakusa, so there was plenty of time to shop. However, the desired camera was a newly released and very popular model and was sold out. The store staff kindly inquired at all their branches, but due to its popularity, it was sold out at every store. The guest understood, and after a little window shopping at the watch section, we headed to Asakusa. After visiting Sensoji Temple, the guests wanted to buy a Japanese knife as a souvenir, so I guided them to the Seisuke Knife shop. Because of the price, they decided it was too expensive as a gift and did not buy it, but at another shop, some Shiseido cosmetics were purchased. After that, we strolled through Sumida Park, and the guests enjoyed the unique Asahi Beer object.

After the tour, the guests had an appointment to meet a relative who had lived in Japan for a long time and whom they had not seen in decades, so after seeing everyone safely reunite in front of the Park Exit ticket gate at Ueno Station, we said our goodbyes.
