Tour Itinerary in Detail
This private tour of Tokyo began at 10:00, when the guide met the guests at hotel, and finished at 16:00. The day ran to 6 hours from start to finish.
From there the group visited To the Imperial Palace and Nijubashi via Tokyo Station at 10:30, Meiji Shrine at 12:00 and Nezu Shrine at 14:00.
What Is a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on the Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine, and Nezu Shrine
The guests were visitors from Europe. One of them had visited Japan for work many years ago, while the other was visiting Japan for the first time.
To help them get familiar with the area around the Hotel, I first guided them to the Ghibli Clock in Shiodome, and then we headed to Tokyo Station. There, I assisted with purchasing Shinkansen tickets and introduced a bento shop so they could enjoy a meal on the train, which they could refer to for their later trip to Kyoto.
The guests had a fair amount of knowledge about Japanese history and asked many questions about Japanese history and culture.
At the Imperial Palace and Meiji Shrine, I explained Shinto in detail and its influence on Japanese culture, and they were deeply impressed that Shinto still resonates in the present day.
On the way back from Nezu Shrine, we stopped by a fruit shop, where they purchased Japanese pears and grapes, saying they wanted to enjoy them after returning to the Hotel. They gave the impression of being fully immersed in Japanese culture. Since they had only arrived the night before and seemed a little tired, we canceled the originally planned visit to Asakusa and Sensoji Temple, and made it a relaxed tour with plenty of rest at each place we visited. We ended the tour at Shimbashi Station, the nearest station to their Hotel.

Highly recommend this tour for first time visit to Tokyo. Our guide Atsushi took great care to acclimate us with navigating through busy train stations efficiently with a group of eight family members. Along the way and at each site he explained various cultural practices and associated histories that made the tour very immersive and enjoyable. Best Tour for a Short Visit
Atsushi-san was an incredibly well-researched and friendly tour guide. His knowledge allowed us to explore and get to the historical significance of the various locations we visited. His explanations were simple but comprehensive. The six hours flew by and included some off-the-beaten opportunities including coffee at a very austere but memorable location near the fish market. I would highly recommend him as well as this tour for anyone with limited time in Tokyo wanting see as much as possible

Our guide, Atsushi, was great! He met us at our hotel in Hakone and took us clockwise to tour all the sites. He was informative and taught us a lot. Our group was two adults and a 14 year old. We saw Mt Fuji from the rope way, but unfortunately the pirate ship was canceled because of high wind. We would absolutely use Atsushi again for this tour, or any other tour he provides.
