What Can You See on a Private Day Tour of Tokyo Including Shibamata, Ueno, and the Imperial Palace East Gardens? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were staying at a hotel, but since only another hotel had been listed as the meeting point, they came there. At Shibamata Taishakuten, the guests took a close look at the intricate carvings surrounding the main hall and the Japanese garden, and were very impressed. In the Shibamata shopping street, I recommended kusa-dango, and the guests tried it. It was well received. Since they would need a Suica card going forward but had not been able to buy one at the airport, I guided them to purchase one at Ueno Station. It was surprisingly crowded, so it took some time. After visiting the temples and shrines in Ueno Park, the guests also spent time exploring the Imperial Palace East Gardens. On the way back, I escorted them to their accommodation. Regarding the meeting point, I felt that in principle it should be the guest's own accommodation, and that offering a choice among designated locations might be better avoided.
