Tour Itinerary in Detail
The tour started at 08:30 at @ Shin-Kiba Station and ended at 14:40. The day ran to 6 hours and 10 minutes from start to finish. It included lunch @ Ao Yuzu Tora (Marunouchi Building) at 12:15.
Over the course of the day the route took in Shibuya at 09:20, Meiji Shrine at 09:40, Shinjuku Gyoen at 11:00, Imperial Palace at 13:10 and Senso-ji Temple at 14:10.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Shin-Kiba to Shibuya by subway (260JPY); Shibuya to Harajuku by train (150JPY); Meiji-jingumae to Shinjuku-sanchome by subway (180JPY); Shinjuku-gyoenmae to Tokyo by subway (210JPY); Yurakucho to Ginza-itchome by subway (180JPY); Ginza to Asakusa by subway (210JPY). What's a Full-Day Private Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and Asakusa
The guests were a group from North America. After visiting central Tokyo and a theme park, they planned to travel to Asia in September rather than continuing to Kyoto or other destinations. At Meiji Shrine, they seemed impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere, which was very different from Shibuya. At Shinjuku Gyoen, they explored the beautiful Japanese garden with great interest. At the Imperial Palace, they listened with interest to historical explanations about the role of the Emperor, the Meiji Restoration, and the Edo Shogunate. At Senso-ji Temple, they listened with interest to explanations about the differences between temples and shrines, as well as the Kaminarimon Gate. After the tour, since the guests said they could do some shopping and return to their hotel on their own, we parted ways in Asakusa. I responded according to the guests' wishes, so I believe they were satisfied.

I was born in Kagoshima City in Kyushu (Southern part of Japan) and grew up there until the graduation from a high school. I came to Tokyo to enter a University in Tokyo and since then, I have lived in Tokyo for more than 40 years and therefore I know Tokyo and its suburbs and Kagoshima City very well. Seizo Kaminto is een uitstekende gids. De metro van Tokio is een doolhof en zonder hem zou ik een hoop tijd verloren hebben, we bezochten de highlights en Seizo wist overal wat te vertellen. Het tempo lag wel hoog en het was warm maar Seizo wist ook waar we een frisse pint konden drinken. Kortom ik ben zeer tevreden.
