  • 1.Meeting point: Nagoya Port, Garden Pier, 8:30
  • 2. : Nagoya Castle, Honmaru Palace, around the castle keep, Nishinomaru Ozone Storehouse Museum, 9:10-11:00
  • 3. : Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER, observation deck, 11:30-11:50
  • 4. : Osu Shopping District, 12:05-12:45
  • 5.Dispersal: Kamimaezu Station platform, 13:00
  • 　The guests were a married couple living in Washington D.C. In our prior email exchanges, I had informed them that the day's high temperature was a concern, so we started the outdoor activities a little earlier. We met taking into account Nagoya Castle's opening time. It was fortunate that the cruise ship's arrival time was as early as 6:30.
  • 　At Nagoya Castle, the wait to enter Honmaru Palace was not very long, and we were also able to quickly enter Kuroki Shoin and Yudono Shoin, which are handled for small groups at a separate entrance. They were able to understand the power of the Tokugawa family at the time, the high rank of the shogun, and so on. They also sensed the castle's role as a fortress from the height of the walls, the masugata gates, and the depth of the moat.
  • 　We moved to Sakae by city bus, and looking down over Nagoya City from the Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER observation deck, they remarked that they were impressed by how beautiful and safe Japanese cities are. In the course of talking about the width of the roads, I learned that they themselves own a Toyota vehicle.
  • 　We moved to Osu by subway, where the plan was to have lunch if there was a shop they liked. The wife showed interest in matcha soft-serve ice cream, and after she ate it, since they could have lunch aboard the cruise ship, I informed them of the direct subway at Kamimaezu Station, and we dispersed on the platform

The guests were a group living in North America. In our email exchange beforehand, they had let me know they were concerned about the day's high temperature, so we started the outdoor activities a little earlier. We met at a time that took into account the opening hours of Nagoya Castle. It was fortunate that the cruise ship arrived very early, at 6:30.
