Tour Itinerary in Detail
This private tour of Nara began at 10:00, when the guide met the guests at Kintetsu Nara Station, and finished at 16:00. The day ran to 6 hours from start to finish. It included lunch at 13:30.
From there the group visited Nara Park at 10:15, Todaiji Temple at 10:45, Kasuga Taisha Shrine at 12:15, Naramachi Stroll (Naramachi Nigiwai no Ie and others) at 14:15 and Sarusawa Inn (Origami Experience) at 15:00.

What Is a Private Day Trip from Tokyo to Nara Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guest came from North America. On the day of the tour, the guest departed from Tokyo early in the morning and came to Nara. I had been worried about the weather, but fortunately it did not rain, which was a relief. Like many guests, this guest was looking forward to enjoying time with the deer in Nara.
The guest had a strong interest in Japanese culture (especially anime and games) and was very knowledgeable about Japan. The guest did not know that Nara was the first capital, but was well acquainted with the warlords of the Sengoku era. As it happened, a special exhibition of "National Treasure armor" was being held at the museum of Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and since the guest expressed a strong wish to see it, I took them there (I was also fortunate to have a ticket to the exhibition).
At Todaiji Temple, the guest was amazed by its enormous scale, and at "Sarusawa Inn" the guest struggled while making an origami "deer," among other activities. I believe it turned out to be a fulfilling day for the guest.

There is a lot of climbing stairs and walking, but it is totally worth it. Nara was very crowded,
but with Toshi guiding me, I could find my way very easily. The deer can be aggressive, but
really pretty amazing.

We had a great experience with Yoshi I who showed us around for 6 hours. We got to see
the deer, some temples, a few local shops, and were made to feel at home with Yoshi’s
wonderful hospitality.

Auf unserem Trip durch Japan hatten wir für unseren Stopp in Osaka eine vierstündige Tour gebucht. Im Vorfeld konnten wir per Mail mit unserem Guide Yoshi Iwamoto einen groben Plan vereinbaren, was uns an diesem Tag erwarten würde. Yoshi war überpünktlich am vereinbarten Treffpunkt und wir konnten direkt mit unserer Tour starten. Wir hatten das große Glück, mit ihm vor den Touristenmassen am Shitennoji-Tempel zu sein und haben die Ruhe sehr genossen. Auch die anderen Ziele waren wirklich sehr schön und wir hatten einen großartigen Tag zusammen. Vielen Dank Yoshi für die tolle Tour und Deine Freundlichkeit! Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland!
