What Is a Half-Day Private Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

Today's guests were a group visiting from Europe. They were celebrating an academic achievement with a trip to Japan. As the new term was about to begin the following week, and because travel to Japan is very popular in their region, flights and hotels had been difficult to book, which is why their trip ended up being scheduled for this time. As a result, they had arrived in Kyoto from Osaka this morning and would be heading to Tokyo the next morning, so they had only this half-day in Kyoto — quite a packed schedule. I told them that next time I hoped they would come to Kyoto with more time to spare and enjoy it at a more relaxed pace.
