Title: What Is a Private Kyoto Tour Like on a Hot Summer Day? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-ji, and Ryoan-ji

The guests were a group visiting from North America. I took them to Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-ji, and Ryoan-ji. However, during the visit to Kinkaku-ji, some of the guests felt unwell due to the heat and returned to their hotel by taxi. I continued the tour with the remaining members of the group, but after lunch, while I was explaining the rock garden from the veranda at Ryoan-ji, the heat became unbearable for them and they requested to end the tour early, so we finished ahead of schedule.

There was a request to visit Fushimi Inari on the way back, but as there was not enough time, I had to decline. Instead, I took them via Heian Shrine to the venue for the tea ceremony experience they had reserved, and we parted ways there.

The restaurant reservation had been made for the full group, but I explained the situation and canceled the portion for those who had returned earlier. I apologized for the same-day cancellation, but given the circumstances, I proceeded with canceling that portion.

Personally, I did not feel the heat was as intense as it had been a few weeks earlier, but for this group it may have been quite difficult to bear.
