What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Gotokuji, Yanaka Ginza, and Shibamata

It was humid, but there was little direct sunlight, making it a comfortable day. Since the itinerary had been decided in advance, we proceeded as planned. The guests had an Icoca card, so the tour went smoothly. At Gotokuji Temple, quite a lot of time was spent taking photos of the beckoning cats and shopping around the temple grounds and on the way back. The guests said they had wanted to come because they keep a cat at home. They said lunch could be anywhere, but since one of the group did not eat meat, we had a stir-fried vegetable set meal at a ramen restaurant. The others had a meat and vegetable stir-fry set meal. At Yanaka Ginza there was no particular shopping, but at the shopping street in Shibamata, they bought kusa dango and rice crackers. The guests seemed generally satisfied with the guiding, and when I saw them off at the Hotel, they gave me a souvenir they had brought from Europe.
